If your touchpad isn't working, It can be the result of an outdated or missing driver. The issue could be fixed by updating or reinstalling your touchpad drivers in Device Manager. You need extra moue to get the work done.
Visit settings on your laptop > Device >Touchpad.
1. You have to make sure your touchpad is turn on, if not turn it on.
2. If you didn't see anything to turn on under Touchpad, follow the steps to fix it.
OPTION 1
UPDATE TOUCHPAD DRIVERS
1. Search for Device Manager.
7. Select Let me pick from a list of available drivers on m computer.
8. Here you have TWO OPTIONS.
9. First Select "Synoptics' SMBus Touchpad" and click next update successful. If it didn't work go for the second option.
10. Second Option by selecting "PS/2 Compatible" wait for it to update successful and restart you Computer. ENJOY.
OPTION 2
REINSTALL TOUCHPAD DRIVERS.
3. Make sure to tick the small box and select "Uninstall."
4. Wait for it to be successful, a dialog box will show up with the caution "Restart Your Pc or Laptop to make this change, Restart it to make the change.
5. Remember, if these two options didn't work for you, contact a Pc or Laptop repairer to check it for You. ENJOY.
